I'm trying to use UltraVNC for remote support on our network. We're running xp. When I connect to a machine and try and send ctrl alt del nothing happens. In other words, be patient. There are two new versions of UltraVNC. However neither of them mention a fix for this. We're still using 1. The app. This however did not work in our environment as we are using MS Authentication and it posed other issues when this feature was turned on.
Lastly, here is a post with another work around. Again, this didn't fix it for us I'm sitting here smashing a brick in my face for not reading the question more closely I despise it when others answer my questions and don't read.
Can you verify that this file is located on your PCs? Well, stop smashing a brick in your face. I would like to know if someone that supports Vista machines have successfully implemented this with UltraVNC. Please respond if you can verify that this works with Vista or I'm thinking I should look for a different solution which I hope I don't have to.
I guess no one has configured this with Vista successfully. I appreciate the advice but I really need to find out, rather than trying, to see if anyone on Earth got this working. Please respond if you got this working with Vista. I have not tested this setting in Vista. I recommend you test it yourself by setting this as a local policy for a machine, restarting the machine and logging back in, then connecting to it with VNC. As for wanting to find out rather than trying, I cannot stress how important it is to make sure something will work yourself before pushing it to a live environment.
