At the top of the window are two buttons that do not seem to do anything for me.

The "skull and cross bones" button seems to do nothing. The "envelope" button seems to make something show up behind the main form, but I can't see enough to know what. What should those two buttons do? How is the "Joined" column supposed to work? Mine are all blank, and I've added new people since installing the addon.
